2 февраля 2021 года – важная памятная дата нашей истории – 78 лет со дня победы в Сталинградской битве. Битве, которая стала переломом всей Второй мировой войны, которая вошла навсегда в мировую историю как самая большая по количеству участников, вооруженной техники и по числу потерь.
Для Советского Союза победа в Сталинграде отметила начало освобождения страны, а также оккупированных территорий Европы, приведшего к окончательному поражению нацистской Германии в 1945 году.

…Шел второй год Великой Отечественной войны. Потерпев сокрушительное поражение под Москвой, фашистские части продолжали наступать на других фронтах. Немецкие танки ревели в донских степях, спеша как можно скорее прорваться вглубь нашей страны. Одной из их главных целей был город на Волге – Сталинград (ныне называемый Волгоградом). План у Гитлера был простой: разрушить городские заводы, производившие вооружение для советской армии, а самое главное, получить выход к Волге.
В 1942 году у стен Сталинграда решалась судьба всего цивилизованного мира. В суровые дни битвы на Волге советские войска сохранили и приумножили лучшие традиции российского воинства.
По своим масштабам и ожесточенности она превзошла все прошлые битвы: ее длительность составляла порядка 200 дней. А вот протяжность самого фронта составлялась 850 км.
Мир рукоплескал победе советского военного искусства, ознаменовавшей коренной перелом в ходе второй мировой войны. На устах у всего мира в те дни было три слова: «Россия, Сталин, Сталинград…».
На конференции в Тегеране премьер-министр Великобритании Черчилль вручил И.В. Сталину в дар от короля Георга VI меч в знак восхищенья стойкостью славных защитников Сталинграда. Он хранится в музее-панораме «Сталинградская битва».
В Париже есть площадь и станция метро Сталинграда. Улицы имени Сталинграда есть в Брюсселе, Милане, в нескольких городах Индии, Братиславе и даже в Каннах!
Лето 1942 года. Воспользовавшись отсутствием Второго фронта на западе, враг сосредоточил на востоке огромные силы, прорвал фронт и устремился к Воронежу, Кавказу, Сталинграду. С прорывом ударной группировки противника в большой излучине Дона боевые действия вступили в новый этап. Началась величайшая битва за Сталинград.
Захват Сталинграда был очень важен Гитлеру по нескольким причинам. Это был главный промышленный город на берегах Волги (жизненно важный транспортный маршрут между Каспийским морем и северной Россией). Захват Сталинграда обеспечил бы безопасность на левом фланге немецких армий, наступающих на Кавказ. Наконец, сам факт, что город носил имя Сталина – делал захват города выигрышным ходом.
Цель немецкого командования: овладеть промышленным городом, предприятия которого выпускали военную продукцию. Этот замысел Гитлер планирует осуществить силами одной 6-й полевой армии Паулюса всего за неделю – к 25 июля 1942 г.
К середине июля 1942-го на Сталинградском направлении превосходство противника над Красной армией в самолетах было более чем в два раза. В танках и артиллерии — в 1,3 раза.
14 июля 1942 года Сталинградская область была объявлена на осадном положении.
Сталинградская битва началась 17 июля 1942 года с боя на рубеже рек Чир и Цимла. В течение пяти дней шли бои местного значения, в ходе которых немецкие войска передвинулись к главной линии обороны Сталинградского фронта.

12 день сражения. Гитлер своим армиям дает приказ: «Сходу с юга овладеть городом, взяв в клещи войска Сталинградского фронта».

«…Отступать дальше – значит загубить себя и Родину. Отныне железный закон – «НИ ШАГУ НАЗАД!».

Предусматривались самые жесткие меры к тем, кто проявит в бою трусость и малодушие. Командирам и политработникам, партийным и комсомольским организациям ставилась задача довести до сознания каждого воина требования этого приказа. Все солдаты пытающиеся отступать немедленно расстреливались заградительными отрядами.
На пути к своей победе фашисты не жалели ни солдат, ни мирных людей. Женщины, старики, дети – все, кто жил в нашей стране были для них людьми «второго сорта». А потому и битву за Сталинград Гитлер начал с жестокой расправы над мирными жителями.
Один из страшных дней для жителей города – 23 августа 1942 года. Тогда относительное спокойствие в городе в 16 часов 18 минут было прервано сигналами тревоги.
Немецкая авиация нанесла невероятный по мощи удар. Город на Волге был уничтожен самой массовой суточной бомбардировкой в истории войны. Фашистские бомбардировщики накрыли город «ковром» из бомб, превратив его в громадную территорию, покрытую горящими руинами.
За один день гитлеровцы сделали столько боевых вылетов, сколько до этого делали за целый год! 2 тысячи самолето-вылетов 4-го воздушного флота люфтваффе разрушили город, где до начала боев проживало около 400 тысяч человек, убив пятую часть горожан.
В городе не уцелело почти ни одного здания!
На железной дороге вспыхнули цистерны с нефтью, которая полилась по улицам, а потом попала в Волгу. Это было страшное зрелище – горела даже сама река и пароходы у пристани!
Тысячи простых горожан погибли от этого страшного удара с неба, и казалось, что превращенный в руины город больше не сможет противостоять захватчикам. Еще шаг – и враги выйдут к Волге, а там и войне конец: победят нас фашисты.
Немецкая боевая авиация намеревалась стереть Сталинград с лица Земли.
Гитлер и его генералы надеялись взять Сталинград с первой же атаки. Ведь город уже превратился в дымящиеся руины, а из пыльной степи на него надвигалась целая орда захватчиков, готовая смести на своем пути все. Но не тут-то было!
К 13 сентября Сталинград был практически полностью разрушен. Начался штурм города.
14 октября пять немецких дивизий начали наступление при поддержке тысячи самолетов. К 11 ноября немцы вышли к Волге на участке в полкилометра. Но потеряли до половины личного состава и развивать дальнейшее наступление не могли.
Сталинград защищали две армии: 64-я под командованием М.С. Шумилова и 62-я под командованием В.И. Чуйкова.
Из воспоминаний маршала В.И. Чуйкова:
«Колонны пехоты на машинах и танках ворвались в город. По-видимому, гитлеровцы считали, что участь его решена, и каждый из них стремился как можно скорее достичь Волги, центра города и там поживиться трофеями…Захватчики гибли сотнями, но свежие волны резервов все больше наводняли улицы. Наши части тоже понесли большие потери в живой силе и технике и отошли. Когда я говорю: «части понесли большие потери и отошли», это не значит, что люди отходили по приказу, организованно, с одного рубежа обороны на другой. Это значит, что наши бойцы (даже не подразделения) выползали из-под немецких танков, чаще всего раненые, на следующий рубеж, где их принимали, объединяли в подразделения, снабжали главным образом боеприпасами и снова бросали в бой…»
Немцы стремились занять три стратегические позиции — вокзал, элеватор и Мамаев курган. С них можно было контролировать всю окружающую территорию.
Бои в городе растянулись почти на полгода.
Воюющие стороны иногда разделяло несколько десятков метров или стена дома, что не позволяло применять артиллерию или авиацию, так как можно было попасть по своим. Часто бои переходили в рукопашные схватки. Большой урон врагу наносили снайперы.
– За Волгой для нас земли нет! – сказал своим солдатам командующий обороной маршал Чуйков, имея в виду, что отступить за реку – значило проиграть. И эти слова стали лозунгом защитников города.
Наши солдаты дрались за каждый дом и даже за каждый этаж! На знаменитом Сталинградском тракторном заводе фашисты уже врывались в цеха, но рабочие даже под пулями не прекращали ремонтировать танки, а когда было надо – сами бросались в бой, помогая нашим бойцам, защищавшим их необходимый для армии труд.
Советские солдаты сражались за каждую улицу, за каждый дом, каждый этаж, за каждый камушек родной земли. 200 дней и ночей длилась Сталинградская битва.
Лондонское радио в те дни передавало:
«За 27 дней была завоевана Польша, а в Сталинграде за 29 дней немцы взяли несколько домов. За 28 дней была завоевана Франция, а в Сталинграде за это время фашисты продвинулись с одной улицы на другую».
Борьба шла за каждую улицу, каждый дом и подвал. По измотанным батальонам армии Паулюса гуляла горькая шутка: «Кухню мы уже захватили, а за спальню еще боремся».
В воздухе стоял запах гари, и горячий печной дух шёл от раскалённых стен сгоревших домов, они ещё дышали жаром. Навечно поверженными казались им те, кто, задыхаясь в дыму, в подвалах, ямах, убежищах, среди раскалённых развалин обращённых в прах жилищ, с ужасом прислушивались к торжествующему и зловещему гудению бомбардировщиков, царивших над горящим городом.
Но нет! В роковые часы гибели огромного города свершалось нечто поистине великое – в крови и в раскалённом каменном тумане рождалось не рабство России, не гибель её; среди горячего пепла и дыма неистребимо жила и упрямо пробивалась сила советского человека, его любви, верности свободе. Именно эта неистребимая сила торжествовала над ужасным, но тщетным насилием поработителей.
Удивительные подвиги наших солдат можно перечислять бесконечно.
Командир пулеметной роты Рубен Ибарури в августе 1942-го остановил атаку гитлеровцев и поднял своих бойцов в контратаку, был смертельно ранен.
Снайпер Максим Пассар успел уничтожить более 200 фашистов и в январе 1943-го, обеспечивая атаку своего 117-го стрелкового полка, уничтожил расчеты двух пулеметов и погиб у хутора Песчанка.
«Дом солдатской доблести»
Воины Сталинграда стояли насмерть. Железным законом тогда было: каждый дом – крепость, а защищающие его подразделения – непобедимый гарнизон.
Ярким примером подобных действий является оборона «Дома Павлова». Вся страна узнала имена Павлова и его товарищей, которые в центре города обороняли дом, ставший важным опорном пунктом. Оказавшись в окружении, они геройски отразили многочисленные яростные атаки врага и в течение 58 дней героически держала оборону дома.

В рассказе «Знаменитый дом» С. Алексеев, описывает историю этого дома, который находился в самом центре Сталинграда. «Бомбили его фашисты, из пушек в него стреляли, минометным огнем, словно дождем, поливали», а оборону возглавляли лейтенант И. Афанасьев и сержант Я. Павлов, именем которого и назван этот знаменитый сталинградский дом.
Подступы к дому были заминированы при помощи противопехотных и противотанковых мин. Немцы проводили миномётные и артиллерийские обстрелы, наносили авиаудары. Но все их усилия были напрасными. Защитники Дома Павлова не собирались сдаваться. Они не только прикрывали стратегически важный пункт, но и пытались сохранить жизни людям, укрывшимся в подвале дома.
Пытаясь взять дом штурмом, немцы потеряли больше бойцов, чем при взятии многих западноевропейских городов. А ведь защитников было не больше тридцати человек!
Связист Матвей Путилов
Когда на Мамаевом кургане в самый напряженный момент боя прекратилась связь, рядовой связист 308-й стрелковой дивизии Матвей Путилов пошел ликвидировать разрыв провода. При восстановлении поврежденной линии связи, ему осколками мины раздробило обе руки. Теряя сознание, он крепко зажал зубами концы провода. Связь была восстановлена. За этот подвиг Матвей был посмертно награжден орденом Отечественной войны II степени. Его катушка связи передавалась лучшим связистам 308-й дивизии.
Подвиг Михаила Паникахи
Морской пехотинец Михаил Паникаха был не просто ранен — пуля попала в бутылку с зажигательной смесью, которую он держал в руках, и боец превратился в горящий факел. Но у него хватило сил на последний подвиг: добравшись до фашистского танка, он поджег и уничтожил вражескую машину.
Бои на Мамаевом Кургане
Мамаев курган – господствующая высота, позволяющая завладевшему ею держать под прицелом почти весь город и переправы через Волгу. Поэтому за нее шли страшные бои. Гитлеровцы по 10-12 раз в день штурмовали его, но, теряя людей и технику, так и не смогли захватить всю территорию кургана. Его склоны были перепаханы бомбами, снарядами, минами, даже в снежные дни он оставался чёрным. Снег тут моментально таял, перемешиваясь с землёй от огня артиллерии. Почва смешалась с осколками металла, после войны на каждом квадратном метре земли здесь находили от 500 до 1250 осколков от мин, снарядов, бомб. А уж сколько наших солдат там полегло – и подумать страшно…
В какой-то момент казалось, что фашисты достигли цели – им удалось овладеть вершиной кургана. А по всем законам военной науки тот, кто владеет высотой, имеет огромное преимущество перед теми, кто оказался внизу, у подножия. Уничтожить врага с вершины холма или горы куда проще, чем находясь на ровной поверхности. Фашистам надо было лишь спуститься с холма, к Волге. А там и до гибели русской армии недалеко (на то, что наши солдаты сдадутся в плен, фашисты даже не надеялись).
Но на Мамаевом кургане случилось невероятное. Фашистам так и не удалось спуститься к его подножию. Выбить советских солдат из-за насыпи железной дороги, пролегавшей у подножия кургана, оказалось невозможно. До Волги оставалось всего метров 700! Именно их и не смогли пройти фашисты на своем пути к господству над миром.
Бои за Мамаев курган продолжались 135 суток. В районе Мамаева кургана, 2 февраля 1943 года закончилась Сталинградская битва.
Замысел большого контрнаступления под Сталинградом впервые рассматривался в Ставке Верховного Главнокомандования в середине сентября 1942 года.
В итоге напряжённых творческих усилий большого коллектива военачальников и штабов план Сталинградской наступательной операции был разработан в деталях. Он получил условное название «Уран».
19 ноября 1942 г. Красная Армия перешла в наступление. Со стороны Дона наступали Донской (генерал К. К. Рокоссовский) и Юго-Западный (генерал Н.Ф. Ватутин) фронты. С юга им навстречу наносил удар Сталинградский фронт (генерал А.И. Еременко).
Более трёх тысяч орудий открыли артиллерийский огонь по позициям противника. Длился он около двух часов. Впоследствии именно в память об этом день 19 ноября стал профессиональным праздником артиллеристов.
Удар был умело рассчитан по времени. Он пришелся на период, когда первые морозы уже сковали почву, прекратив осеннюю распутицу, и в то же время сильные снегопады еще не успели покрыть землю глубоким снегом.
Все это обеспечило высокую скорость продвижения войск и позволило им маневрировать.
Правильно выбрав момент, когда наступательные возможности немецких войск иссякли, с 19 по 23 ноября были нанесены мощные фланговые удары, благодаря которым удалось частично окружить и заблокировать вражескую группировку.
23 ноября в 4 часа утра 6-я полевая и 4-я танковая фашистские армии в составе более 300 тысяч человек оказались в «котле».
Гитлеровское командование в это время спешно разрабатывало планы спасения своей окружённой группировки. Поэтому Гитлер приказал сформировать новую группу армий «Дон». Командовать этой группой он назначил фельдмаршала Манштейна. План деблокады 6-й армии был назван «Зимняя гроза».
12 декабря фашистская группа армий «Дон» начала операцию «Зимняя гроза». В течение пяти суток воины 1378-го стрелкового полка 87-й дивизии 51-й армии в районе Верхне-Кумского отбили более 20 атак противника и не дали ему продвинуться здесь ни на шаг. Все солдаты и офицеры этого полка были награждены орденами и медалями, а их командир полковник М. С. Диасамидзе удостоен звания Герой Советского Союза. Отличились в этих боях и части механизированного корпуса генерала Вольского, и танковый полк полковника Асланова.
Утром 19 декабря после мощной артиллеристской и авиационной подготовки войска противника возобновили наступление на Сталинград. Танковая группировка прорвала нашу оборону на реке Аксай и к исходу дня вышла на реку Мышкова. Теперь до окружённой 6-й армии Паулюса оставалось около 40 километров. Однако наши войска стояли здесь крепко. Каждый боец делал всё, чтобы остановить врага и не дать ему пройти за реку Мышкова.

Советским войскам удалось отбить все вражеские удары, перейти в наступление и отбросить немцев на 100 км от города.
В январе 1943 года немецкая группировка была полностью окружена, и Красная армия приступила к ее ликвидации.
8 января советское командование во избежание напрасного кровопролития предложило командованию окружённых под Сталинградом немецких войск прекратить бессмысленное сопротивление и капитулировать. Ультиматум был отвергнут.
10 января 1943 года началась завершающая операция Красной Армии по ликвидации сталинградской группировки гитлеровцев. Она называлась «Кольцо».
После мощной бомбежки и артподготовки в 10.00 пошли танки, и поднялась пехота. К исходу дня главная полоса обороны противника была прорвана.
С целью ослабления сопротивления немцев, советские войска расчленили вражескую группировку на две части и поочередно их уничтожили.
Оказавшиеся в окружении фашисты страдали от холода, голода и болезней. Многие умирали уже вовсе не от пуль. Но бежать им теперь было некуда. Даже немецкие генералы стали говорить о том, что хорошо бы сдаться в плен, многие из них жалели своих солдат.
20 января Паулюс сам запросил у Гитлера разрешения на капитуляцию. Но Гитлер был непреклонен. Фюрера уже не интересовала судьба окружённых солдат. Он хотел только одного – чтобы они продержались подольше и не давали советскому командованию возможности перебрасывать войска из-под Сталинграда на запад. Он требовал от своих командиров сражаться до последнего, погубить всех бойцов и погибнуть самим.
Уже в январе Гитлер неожиданно присвоил командующему окруженной армией Паулюсу высшее воинское звание – фельдмаршал. С чего бы это вдруг такая честь для командира, уже почти проигравшего величайшую битву? Ответ кроется в «поздравительной» телеграмме, где Гитлер пишет: «ещё ни один немецкий фельдмаршал не попадал в плен». Намек простой: сражайся до конца или умри.
Но Паулюс не сделал ни того, ни другого. Уже на следующий день после присвоения ему высшего воинского звания он сдался в плен. Вместе с ним сдались и его солдаты.
С утра 22 января Паулюс радировал командованию вермахта: «Дальнейшая борьба бессмысленна. Катастрофа неизбежна. Для спасения еще оставшихся в живых прошу дать разрешение на капитуляцию». Гитлер ответил: «Запрещаю капитуляцию! Армия должна удерживать свои позиции до последнего патрона!»
25 января наши войска Донского фронта ворвались в Сталинград с запада. Навстречу им совершили бросок воины 62-й армии. Они с сентября 1942 года стойко держались на узком клочке сталинградской земли, и хоть район их обороны был невелик, он сыграл огромную роль в деле защиты Сталинграда и в разгроме немецко-фашистских войск, зажатых в «котле».
И тут фашисты начали сдаваться в плен без приказа своего начальства. 31 января прекратила сопротивление южная группа. После мощного огневого налёта артиллерии 2 февраля сложила оружие и северная группа вражеских войск. Этот день знаменовал собой победный финал Сталинградской эпопеи.
В ходе боёв с 10 января по 2 февраля 1943 года войска Донского фронта разгромили 22 фашистские дивизии, взяли в плен 91 тысячу солдат и офицеров, в том числе 24 генерала во главе с Паулюсом.
В Сталинградской битве Советская Армия разгромила 5 армий противника, 147 000 убитых немцев лежали на поле боя.
Но и среди советских солдат было много потерь.

Сталинград был полностью разрушен. В результате в начале февраля советское командование было вынуждено создать специальную сталинградскую группировку войск, которая занималась очисткой города от трупов, а также разминированием.
Бывший посол США в Советском Союзе Дэвис, увидев развалины Сталинграда, сказал: «Этот город мертв, и вы его не восстановите». Но Сталинград восстал из руин.
Боевые успехи Советской Армии в битве под Сталинградом были высоко оценены Советским правительством. 44 соединения и части, особо отличившиеся в сражениях, были удостоены почётных наименований: Сталинградских, Донских, Кантемировских, Котельниковских, Тацинских и других. 55 соединений и частей были награждены орденами. Многие части, соединения и объединения были преобразованы в гвардейские.
Боевые награды получили десятки тысяч солдат и офицеров. 112 лучших советских воинов стали Героями Советского Союза. Новыми, только недавно учреждёнными орденами Суворова 1 степени были награждены наши полководцы: Г. К. Жуков, А. М. Василевский, Н. Н. Воронов, Н. Ф. Ватутин, А. И. Ерёменко, К. К. Рокоссовский и другие военачальники. Были произведены первые награждения орденами Кутузова и Александра Невского.

В декабре 1942 года была учреждена медаль «за оборону Сталинграда», а 8 мая 1965 года Волгоград получил звание «Город-герой».
Одним из самых известных во всем мире памятников, посвященных Сталинградской битве, является комплекс памятников «Мамаев Курган».
МАМАЕВ КУРГАН — главная высота России
В 1963-67 на Мамаевом Кургане в ознаменование победы под Сталинградом создан памятник-ансамбль «Героям Сталинградской битвы» (авторский коллектив под руководством скульптора Е. В. Вучетича и архитектора Я. Б. Белопольского; Ленинская премия, 1970).
Сначала, 8 февраля 1943 года, здесь установили только обелиск. Идея построить мемориал пришла уже после войны, а стройка стартовала в 1958 году.
Победил проект Евгения Вучетича. Проектировали и строили памятник-ансамбль «Сталинградпроект» и «Сталинградгидрострой» (они же возводили Волжскую ГЭС). Главным архитектором выбрали Якова Белопольского. А инженерными расчетами занялся инженер-конструктор Николай Никитин. Это работу он делал параллельно с расчетами по Останкинской телебашне.
По вопросам истории Великой Отечественной войны строителей и проектировщиков консультировал сам маршал Василий Чуйков. Позже, уже в 80-х его с почестями похоронили на Мамаевом кургане, здесь и сегодня можно возложить цветы к его могиле.
Мемориал начали строить в день Сталинградской битвы, 2 февраля 1958 года, и закончили через 9 лет. Его открыли в октябре 1967 года.
В центре ансамбля монумент Матери-Родины (Высота памятника — 86 метров, высота самой скульптуры — 53 метра). Скульптура «Родина-мать» — смысловой центр мемориала.
У подножия кургана монумент «Стоять насмерть», под ним руины двух стен с рельефными композициями, раскрывающими тему героической борьбы.

Помимо памятника-ансамбля, здесь построен храм Всех святых и часовня. В братских могилах захоронены более чем 35 тысяч защитников города.
На территории кургана сегодня также находится телецентр и культурный центр «Сталинград» – отель, кафе и музей Сталина. Рядом – здание Роты почетного караула, там военнослужащие находятся в ожидании своей смены. «Почетники» несут службу в пантеоне Славы, и каждый час можно посмотреть на их смену.
9 мая, в День Победы, люди идут к вершине нескончаемым потоком. Здесь конечная точка маршрута «Бессмертного полка» – люди с портретами своих дедов и прадедов поднимаются на самую вершину, к подножию Родины-матери.
Вот уже несколько лет каждый год 7, 8 и 9 мая на Мамаевом кургане проходит акция «Свет великой Победы», когда в течение нескольких часов можно смотреть 3D-инсталляцию на скульптуру «Родина-мать зовет!», которая сопровождается показом фильмов и хроники на стенах пантеона Славы.
21 июня вечером каждый год на Мамаевом кургане проходит акция «Завтра была война», когда тысячи людей приходят накануне Дня памяти и скорби опустить цветы в большое «Озеро слез».
На Мамаевом кургане всегда особая атмосфера. Во многом благодаря музыкальному оформлению. Здесь можно услышать сводки советского информбюро, рев самолетов, звуки взрывов, песни военных лет, а в зале Воинской славы — «Грезы» Шумана.

Победа под Сталинградом – крупнейшее военно-политическое событие второй мировой войны. Она положила начало коренному перелому не только в ходе Великой Отечественной войны, но и всей второй мировой войны.
Победа советской армии в Сталинградской битве позволила Советскому Союзу переломить ход войны, захватить стратегическую инициативу и не упускать ее до полного разгрома врага.
Союзники Германии, Турция и Япония, отказались от планов вступления в войну против СССР.
В ходе битвы враг потерял около 1,5 миллиона убитых, раненых, пленных и пропавших без вести, то есть четвёртую часть сил, которыми располагал тогда фашистский блок на советско-германском фронте.
Это была величайшая катастрофа, от которой ни Гитлер, ни его генералы так и не смогли оправиться до самого конца войны. У немецкой армии сил стало гораздо меньше.
До победы было еще целых два года, но угроза поражения и разгрома уже перестала нависать над нашей страной.
Маршал Советского Союза Георгий Константинович Жуков в своей книге «Воспоминания и размышления» Сталинградскую битву сравнивал с битвой за Москву. Потери вражеских войск до основания потрясли всю военную машину гитлеровской Германии».
Разгром крупной немецко-фашистской группировки под Сталинградом — не случайное событие, а тем более не результат лишь ошибок командования вермахта и самого Гитлера, как теперь пытаются доказать фальсификаторы истории всех мастей на западе. Победа под Сталинградом – результат массового героизма советских воинов, младших командиров и офицеров Советской Армии.
