Анастасия Цветаева прожила долгую и непростую жизнь. Вся её жизнь была похожа на странствие – и в буквальном смысле тоже: в непрестанных дальних и не очень дальних поездках до самой смерти. Это удивительная жизнь, отмеченная Богом. Сколько вмещает она щедрых даров – встреч, дружб, сколько страданий, смертей и разлук!

Анастасия Ивановна Цветаева родилась (15) 27 сентября 1894 года в Москве, в семье историка и искусствоведа профессора И.В. Цветаева. Старшей сестрой Аси (как ее называли домашние) была Марина, впоследствии известная поэтесса. Девочки получили домашнее начальное образование, продолжив его в 1902–1906 годах в Западной Европе, в частных пансионах Швейцарии и Германии. Много времени в молодости сестры проводили в Тарусе.

В 1912 году Анастасия вышла замуж за 19-летнего Бориса Трухачёва, и вскоре у молодой семьи родился сын Андрей. Анастасия не замкнулась в семейных заботах, а стала заниматься литературой. В 1915 году выходит ее первая книга – философский текст «Королевские размышления» в духе Ницше. Семейная жизнь не задалась, и через некоторое время она выходит замуж второй раз – за Маврикия Александровича Минца, от брака с которым рождается сын Алексей.

После революции 1917 года сестры Цветаевы по приглашению Максимилиана Волошина приехали в Крым, в Коктебель и жили в гостях у него. Там Анастасию настигло горе – в Крыму умер от дизентерии сын Алеша.

В начале 1920-х годов Цветаева возвращается в Москву, живёт случайными заработками, но продолжает писать. В 1921 году по рекомендации М.Гершензона и Н.Бердяева её принимают в Союз писателей.

В 1927 году Цветаева завершает книгу «Голодная эпопея», но не может её опубликовать. Та же судьба ждет и её роман «SOS, или Созвездие Скорпиона». В этом же году Анастасии Ивановне удаётся съездить в Европу, и во Франции она в последний раз в жизни видится с сестрой Мариной.

В апреле 1933 года Анастасия Цветаева была арестована в Москве. После хлопот Б.Пастернака, Е.П. Пешковой и М.Горького её через два с небольшим месяца освобождают. Но ненадолго: 2 сентября 1937 года её снова арестовывают, изымают все её сочинения и через пять месяцев отправляют в лагерь на Дальний Восток. Она проводит несколько лет в лагере и ещё несколько в ссылке.

О самоубийстве сестры в 1941 году Анастасия Ивановна узнаёт, находясь на поселении на Дальнем Востоке.

Анастасия Цветаева была освобождена только после смерти Сталина, а в 1959 году реабилитирована. После она жила в Москве, восстанавливала по памяти произведения, изъятые у неё при аресте. В этот период она создаёт мемуарные книги «Старость и молодость» (опубликована в 1988 году) и «Воспоминания».

Анастасия Цветаева скончалась в Москве 5 сентября 1993 года, совсем немного не дожив до своего 100-летнего юбилея…
